To open an account please bring with you the following documents to the credit union office here in Glentworth Street:
- Photographic ID (e.g. a current Driving Licence or Passport)
- Proof of Address (e.g. a utility bill, government letter or bank statement dated within the last 6 months)
- Proof of PPSN (e.g. Medical/Drugs Payment Scheme Card, P60, P45, or correspondence from Revenue)
- If not living in the area, proof of working in the area
PLEASE NOTE: Public Services Card is not presently a viable source of Photographic ID or Proof of PPS Number.

Joining is Easy! It takes about 20-25 minutes
To be eligible for membership of Sarsfield Credit Union you must fall into one of the following categories:
- Live within our common bond area
- Work in Limerick City
- A family member who was a member of the Arch Confraternity
- Live with a relative that is already a member
New-born up to 16 years
You are never too young to join Sarsfield Credit Union.
For New-born to 16 years you will need the following documents:
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of PPSN (Medical Card/letter from the Dept of Social Protection)
A parent/guardian can open an account for a child from New-born up to 16 years.
When opening a minor account, a parent/Guardian need to provide the following documents:
- Proof of Identity (Passport/Drivers Licence)
- Proof of Address (Bank Statement/Utility Bill/letter from Government Department)
Note: The proof of address should be no more than 6 months old
Club/Society Accounts
What Do I Need To Open A Club/Society Account?
- Certificate of Incorporation or Certificate to Trade or Certificate of Acknowledgment of Registry, if applicable
- Copy of Written Rules or Memorandum and Articles of Association, if applicable
- Properly authorised mandate seeking application for membership, conferring authority on those duly delegated to operate and sign on the account
- Names, addresses, occupations and dates of birth of Trustees/Directors
- Current photo ID, proof of address (current utility bill or bank statement) and proof of PPS numbers for the authorised signatories.
