Our Bills Loan is designed to help you spread the cost of household bills over 12 months, taking the stress out of recurring costs like car, home & medical insurance, property and road tax etc. Let us know how much you'll need over the year (between €500 and €5,000) and once approved, we'll make that amount available for you to access as required throughout the year.

Bills Loan Terms & Conditions

Maximum term is 12 months

Maximum loan amount is €5,000

Member will be asked to complete an estimate of bills for the year

Weekly payment is recommended for this loan product

You can avail of 1 top up during the term, but it cannot extend beyond the 12 month term

The full amount of the loan is drawn down and lodged into a sub account

Payment is made by cheque to the bill provider through the credit union, once bills are supplied by the member

What documents you need to apply

For existing Members

  • Proof of Income (3 most recent payslips or social welfare receipts )
  • 3 Months Bank Statements (including the most recent transactions)
  • 3 Months Credit Card Statements

We may request additional documentation from you to support your loan application. (If required)

*For your first loan with us we will need 6 months statements.

Not a Member?

If you are not already a Member of Sarsfield Credit Union, you can easily open an account at our branch in Glentworth Street.

  • Photographic ID (e.g. a current Driving Licence or Passport)
  • Proof of Address (e.g. a utility bill, government letter or bank statement dated within the last 6 months)
  • Proof of PPSN (e.g. Medical/Drugs Payment Scheme Card, P60, P45, or correspondence from Revenue)
  • If not living in the area, proof of working in the area

We may request additional documentation from you to support your membership application. (If required)
