Pat Woods Student Bursary Awards 2025 Winners
On the 3rd Oct, we were delighted to host the 3 winners of the Pat Woods Student Bursary Awards for 2025 and their families, to present them with their awards. This year’s winners were Emma Cross, Danny Lynch and Killian Harrington, all of whom were worthy winners. The occasion was made more special for our Credit Union as the awards were presented to each winner by Marie Woods wife of the late Pat Woods in whose memory these Awards were founded. Marie presented each winner with a cheque for €2,000 which will assist them in covering some of the cost of their education as they start out on their chosen academic paths. In its inaugural year, Marie, was also delighted to announce that this year the Credit Union had gone a step further and decided to award 6 Runners Up with a cheque for €200 each to assist them with the cost of their studies and to thank them for taking the time to submit their applications.
It was great to get feedback from our Winners, their Parents and Grandparents about:
- how much these awards meant to them,
- how much they appreciated the opportunity to apply for the Bursary,
- how we might reach more schools and potential candidates next year; and
- how they hoped the Bursary would go from strength to strength in the future to support more students.
We wish all our winners and applicants the very best in their chosen studies and academic pathways and look forward to the launch of the 2026 Awards.
